I had the pleasure of attending a book launch, this week, for Modern Mix, the design tome by Eddie Ross and Jaithan Kochar! The party took place in a light filled loft which is now home to an amazing new development by One Kings Lane. One which brings to life their online world. After 6 years of operating in a virtual world, OKL is inviting you in….to walk around, to look and to consult with a OKL stylist who knows the breadth of their offerings.
It’s not a store, but a place for you to be inspired. If you are wanting to refresh a space, add something unique or just bounce ideas off of someone before you hit “buy”, they invite you to make an appointment, bring in your photos, your measurements and your Pinterest Board! And, the consultation is free!

Alex Reid, the lead stylist at The Studio, explains the focus of this new venture well. “We’re not doing intense floor plans, we’re not gutting your home. I think we’re making it affordable and approachable to make your home more beautiful.”
I saw the space at night, with it’s amazing views of the Hudson River. Here’s a peek into the space and the party!
Of course, the spread was 100% Eddie…a table laden with delicious nibbles that looked straight out of a Vermeer painting. Notice how he elevates things and keeps them at varying levels. And, I love how the grapes and crackers are just spilling over. I’m always so buttoned up…this shows how much better things can look when you let them overflow!
We’re all so used to buying with the click of a mouse. What do you think of the idea of being able to walk inside One Kings Lane? I’ll admit…it was really fun!
