Are you a fan of HGTV’s Fixer Upper with Chip and Joanna Gaines? If you are, then you already love their special brand of grit and creativity, as they help families realize their dreams of owning a beautiful home – which was previously a “fixer upper”. If you don’t, then you should definitely check out their highly rated series or visit them in Waco, Texas (home of Baylor University, where my brother and sister-in-law went to school), where they have Magnolia Market at the Silos and are about to start taking reservations at Magnolia House.
Magnolia House, built in the 1800s, was one of the options given to a family for a potential “fixer upper”. When the family selected a different option, Joanna began thinking about renovating it for their own family as a get away and as a place where visitors could stay. I think there have been lots of pilgrimages to Magnolia Market and how fun would it be to enjoy a night experiencing the Gaines’ special sense of style and hospitality.
Take a look at the before and afters! Keep an eye on the website, as they’ll begin taking the first reservations early this year!
Road trip to Waco, anyone?!
