Those of us in the northeast were fooled this April into thinking winter had gone on a long, deserved vacation. But, the joke was on us….we woke up to a bit of snow. So, I think it’s time to plan my escape. To California. Not for good, but for a little family vacation. We used to live in San Francisco, so we’re dreaming of a little sun in surf in southern Cali.
The big question is….do we stay in L.A. or do we head to the beach? Do we try to do it all? Lunch at the Ivy? Take the tour of the stars’ homes? Ride bikes by the Santa Monica pier?
What do you think? I’d love to hear your favorite tips for this California dreamer!
What I think is do as much as possible:) We were there two Decembers ago, and spent half the time n Laguna Beach for breach/pool/leisure and half the time in Beverly Hills (that was more for my son and his best friend who came with us) lol but we all had fun the restaurants in BH were over the top amazing….plus the Montage there isn’t too shabby…..we took some fun day trips and it was a blast. LOVE California…happy planning you cannot go wrong no matter what you decide.
Happy Monday morning, Elizabeth! We were doing some California dreaming ourselves this weekend after an April snowstorm, and Carter was home after spending Spring Break out there. I have so many places I love our there. A definite yes to the Ivy – although I prefer The Ivy at the Shore. I will email you some other ideas. 🙂 Have a terrific week! xoxo
I LOVE Pelican Hill REsort when we go to California we try to stay there and in San Diego. I also love Big Sur.. there is so much to do and see there for sure!
Given that one of our sons is off to UC San Diego, we would suggest heading a bit farther south and check out all the fun on Mission Bay! We’re California Dreamin’. too. Hope you’re having a great week!
