The secret is out! Trade Secrets (founded by Bunny Williams), the 2 day rare plants and garden antiques sale + garden tour in Litchfield County, CT is THE place to be in May! I attended for the first time last year (you can read about it here) and it exceeded my expectations.
You can attend one or both days. The first day is at the lovely LionsRock Farm in Sharon, CT. I highly recommend arriving early (b/w 8-10am) as the line grows quite long after 10am. The “early bird” ticket comes with breakfast in the large barn and with a heftier price tag. But, if you want to have a chance of seeing Martha Stewart, Bunny Williams, Kevin Sharkey and many others….arrive early!
Dress is super casual….think jeans and comfortable shoes that might get muddy.Four amazing gardens will be available for you to peruse, photograph and be inspired by. One of those on the tour is Carolyne Roehm’s Weatherstone….which she has lovingly cultivated. Here’s an example of what you will see!
If your mom lives nearby, consider treating her to Trade Secrets for Mother’s Day! I hope to see you there…I’ll be there on the early side!
