Happy Friday! Summer is over for some and for others (myself included) we are clinging to it with our fingertips. Oh…where did it go?!
This is also a time of year that brings my garden into riotous bloom. I finally saw a hummingbird today, dancing around my lantana, which did not bloom as it has in the past. But, the bees have been in OVERDRIVE with my hydrangeas, which may explain whey they smell like honey when I clip them and bring them inside.
So, today is a rather indulgent post. A medley of my hydrangeas’ favorite hits. So, I thank you in advance for letting me share them from every angle!
I hope you enjoyed this garden tour as much as this little bunny.
Happy almost end of Summer!
Hi
I too LOVE hydrangeas and the white one you show is no exception. Please could you tell me the name. I need to get it!! Hopefully is available in NZ.
Love your blog.
Thank you for the work you do to brighten my days.
Raewyn
Hi Raewyn!
Thanks for your comment on PPT!
The hydrangeas are called limelight and I have loved them. They are so sturdy and fragrant (I think because of the bees).
Happy Summer!
Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth your posts from your beautiful home are always my favorites. I didn’t have good luck with my hydrangea this year in Chicago for some reason, they didn’t bloom anywhere as much as yours did. I am sure you had the opportunity to spend time in your beautiful garden. Hard to believe that they summer is coming to an end, but we do get to now have my favorite season, which is fall! Have a great weekend.
I am beyond envious as my Hydrangea have been eaten by my friend fellow Deer and yours are exquisite!!
Which variety of hydrangea are you showing? They are beautiful.
Hi Margaret!
The hydrangeas are called “limelight”.
Happy Summer!
Elizabeth
I have only just yesterday discovered your wonderful blog. What vision and style you exude! Thank you for sharing. Quick question, what variety of Hydrangea are you cultivating and what is the ground cover beneath it? Thank you for sharing, Teri
Hi Teri,
Thanks for visiting my blog!
The hydrangeas are “limelight” and the ground cover is called mazus. It’s a dream….spreads quickly and is soft and so pretty.
Happy end of summer!
Elizabeth
