Summer really is my favorite season, if pressed. Perhaps it’s the longer days and that everything is in full bloom. Perhaps it’s because I celebrate my birthday on the first day or summer and enjoy dining al fresco. Perhaps it’s the slower pace and relaxed schedule.
I’m always sad to see it come to an end. So, I’m taking the last week of summer to spend time with my family and will be taking a break from the blog until after Labor Day.
It’s always fun to look back on all the fun I’ve already had. Entertaining with friends. Celebrating my birthday (on the 21st) at the famed 21 Club. Watching my garden grow. Hamilton. Fun and sun in The Hamptons. Visiting Ted Kennedy Watson & Ted Sive in the Hudson Valley. An amazing photo shoot with Eddie Ross & Better Homes and Gardens.
So long, summer! I’ll see you next year!
Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened! Your photos are beautiful!!! It has been a wonderful summer, hasn’t it? When you are old like me and don’t have kids going back to school (first time in 25 years!) then you can go back to having summer end on September 21st . Hope your weekend was fabulous – we are having California weather here these days. Big Hugs!!!
Now that’s what a call a great summer, a little bit of all that matters, fun in the sun, great food, good friends, entertaining..you covered it all!! Though fall is my official favorite season, summer is a close second and I must admit I am not quite ready for it to end. Cheers to a beautiful end of summer:)
Cheers to the end of Summer and it looks like you celebrated with style!!
