Some things are worth revisiting. Such is the interior design work of Melissa Rufty. I’ve admired her take on design for many years, so thought it was worth sharing one of her more recent projects. This pre-war residence is bathed in elegance, sophistication and the perfectionistic details that elevate it to magazine worthy status. Yet, it feels approachable.
Melissa has a way of combining colors, styles and textures that is “just right”. You feel that she’s an artist and textiles, furnishings, accessories and art are her tools. We can learn a lot about styling from watching the way she balances a tabletop and the selections she makes.

I went to school with Melissa and her husband is the brother of one of my best friends growing up. She was chic even in high school!
