There is one green that is my “go to” during the holidays….and that’s magnolia. It certainly holds a certain Southern charm for me and I love its hearty, sturdy, green/brown leaves. It’s perfect on a mantle, along a sideboard, tucked into bookshelves or stuffed into a champagne bucket. And, it lasts!
No one is growing it more beautifully than Erin Weston of Weston Farms in Raleigh, North Carolina. 14 years ago, Erin left a publishing career in NYC to try her hand at farming in her native state. It was a smart bet, as she now grows more than 10,000 trees and is turning those magnolias into stunning garlands, lush arrangements and statement wreaths that are heralded by Traditional Home, Southern Living, Garden and Gun, interior designers and event planners across the country.
Lucky for you…she ships! And, even luckier, her arrangements make a luxurious, impactful, thoughtful gift for those folks on your list that you just haven’t gotten to yet. Perhaps you’re struggling with what to get them. I know I’d be thrilled to open a box of Erin’s designs. Her magnolia will dry and age and be able to be used again and again, so it’s really a value compared to what you would pay for an arrangement or poinsettia that just won’t last.
Sometimes the prettiest things are the simplest. Simply beautiful, like these magnolias by Weston Farms. Time to dress up your mantle!
Although I am not from the south but I think its one of my favorite Holiday greenery!
