Though hard to believe, it’s time for the most famous ice skating rink in the world, The Rink at Rockefeller Center, to officially open this Wednesday. The rink is kicking things off with a ceremonial skate by Olympic Ice Dance Champions, Meryl Davis and Charlie White at 9am, if you happen to be on your way to work or visiting.
The rink first opened on Christmas Day, 1936 and continues its tradition of being the first ice skating rink to open in NYC. Designed originally as a temporary attraction, the rink will be available from Oct through Easter from 8:30am to midnight.
In addition to general admission skating, there are a number of fun opportunities to hit the ice:
- Afternoon Tea and Skate
- Apres Skate
- Starlight Skate
- Breakfast with Santa
- VIP skate…and more
All can be booked by visiting therinkatrockcenter.com!We may just be skating into Fall, but the weather will be chilly before we know it and it will be time to hit the ice!
