If you’re in NYC for the day or longer, visiting a museum is often on your list. There are SO many to choose from.
Even better are the ones with delicious restaurants, so you can then combine food and art. One of my favorite museum eateries is the Morgan Dining Room at the Morgan Library. Truly good food! But, I have a few others that are on my list for 2018.
FLORA BAR at the Met Breuer (closed Mondays) – just named the #5 top restaurant in NYC by Pete Wells, the restaurant critic for the New York Times. How about trying their 6 course dinner for Valentine’s Day?
THE STUDIO CAFE at the Whitney – the more casual, little sister to Untitled, the cafe is located on the 8th floor and has incredible views of the Manhattan skyline. During warmer months, you can enjoy your lunch outside.
STORICO at The New York Historical Society (closed Mondays) – a bright and open space that does not require admission to the museum. Known for inventive menus and locally sourced produce, this is a wonderful addition to the Upper West Side.
The most memorable work of art from a day at the museum may actually be on your plate! Bon Appetit!
