Ahhhh….September. It is a month that lures me back into the city. During the summer, I generally prefer to be outside the city. But, the energy in NYC starts to quicken during the wind up to Fall and it beckons me back in.
What’s happening in the city, you ask? Lots.
NY Fashion Week has just kicked off. Designers will be unveiling their lines for Spring/Summer 2019 and those bold named faces return to the city, before taking their seat in the front rows. You can find the full schedule here.
The Met Fifth Ave will be opening the Delacroix exhibit (Sept 17-Jan 6), which is a joint partnership with Musee du Louvre. The French painter was one of the greatest creative figures of the nineteenth century. And, after you’ve seen the museum, show or gallery…you inevitably want a great meal! Numerous restaurants are always opening, but my eye is currently on La Mercerie, the Soho cafe by the Starr Group (Le CouCou, Upland) and designed by the sizzling hot design duo, Roman and Williams. The transition from Summer to Fall can be a bit stressful, but knowing there are wonderful opportunities just a train ride away, somehow make it a transition that’s also exciting!
How is your transition to Fall going?
