Seasonal Wardrobe Change

IMG_4587It’s offically Fall! Bring on the pumpkins, apples, cool days, sweaters, fireside nights, football season, mums and falling leaves.

I’ve already switched out my closet….sundresses and sandals are stored until warmer days, sweaters and boots have taken their place. In other words, I’ve installed my fall wardrobe.

In that same way, I’ve switched over to my Fall stationery wardrobe. Earlier this year, my friend and fab artist, Patricia van Essche (aka PVE Design) designed a monogram for me for each season. One of my summer projects was getting cards and stickers created for these designs. I’m sure any print house could do this for you…I just happened to use my local Staples.

So….between now and Dec 1 these are what I’m planning on using for all of my correspondence.IMG_4593 IMG_4595 IMG_4597 IMG_4599I hope that they are enjoyed as much by the recipients of my snail mail as by me. Happy Fall, y’all!

Fall Foliage – Where to Find It

Central-Park-still-life-autumn-anuture-beauty-image-view-riverTomorrow is the official start to Fall and the leaves are beginning to change where I live. Just a little bit. But, all the signs are pointing to a stellar NY/Northeast Fall Foliage this year. There are a number of conditions – rainfall, type of winter, cool mornings – that go into the range and intensity of color that we get to see.

If you want to venture beyond your front yard for some pretty leaf-peeping, here is where you can find the best color:

And, for those of you who visit NYC during the Thanksgiving week, you should be greeted with beautiful hues in Central Park. Peak is estimated to happen the 2nd and 3rd weeks of November. Be sure and visit the Top of the Rock or the Empire State Building to get the best view!

Linda Loves Donald

D5Linda (Fargo) loves Donald.

Donald “Drawbertson” Robertson, that is. He of instagram fame for creating artwork out of tape. Yes, tape. And, to celebrate the launch of Donald’s self named book by Assouline, Bergdorf Goodman invited him to put his signature touch on everything from furniture and small goods to clothing and even a bike!

Linda’s, which is basically a curated closet of items Linda Fargo adores inside the hallowed halls of BG is one big eye-candy shop within a shop for the fashion minded. Leopard. Check. Feathers. Check. Statement piece coats. Check. Toss in her signature red and you’ve got yourself everything you might need to make an entrance!

So, it was the perfect place to host a book signing this past Monday for Donald – being NY Fashion Week and all.

If you’re heading into the city in the next month or so, be sure and stop by and be dazzled by the combination of these two creative geniuses. I loved Linda’s before, but Donald’s touch added whimsy and edge. They are a dynamic duo!D6 D8 D9 D10D12 D13 IMG_4557 IMG_4558Linda’s loves Donald and I love them both!
