Linda’s at Bergdorf Goodman

ll3I remember the first time I saw Linda Fargo in person at Bergdorf Goodman. She was in the restaurant on the 7th floor, sitting in the robin’s egg blue “conversation chairs” by the window, wrapping up a photo shoot. After she left, the host sat us at that table. My mom and I were like two school girls we were so excited.

Since that day, I’ve caught a glimpse of her in the store, but mainly in the fashion magazines and front row at Fashion Week. She’s iconic. Not only does she have her signatrue silver bob and red lips, but she has STYLE. In spades. Which is why she now has her own stand alone shop within the store….Linda’s.

Just imagine if one of the most original, fashionable and creative tastemakers in the world curates her favorite things in the store and puts them in one place. That’s Linda’s closet! Located on the 4th floor, I now have another reason to take a spin through this fantasy-level, one-of-a-kind shop within a shop.Screen Shot 2017-05-14 at 11.00.34 PMhead_long_042917_01 l9 l10Screen Shot 2017-05-14 at 11.02.13 PM l12 l13Screen Shot 2017-05-14 at 11.02.37 PM l15 l21 l23 l24 linda ll4 ll7 ll11 ll12 ll17Screen Shot 2017-05-14 at 10.48.22 PMHow much fun would it be to try to walk in Linda’s shoes, literally, for an afternoon! I’ll try to get there soon so I can share more inside pics!

Calling All the Fashionistas

It’s time to tap into your inner Rachel Zoe!
New York Fashion Week is just a couple of weeks away…and Bergdorf Goodman and Polyvore have teamed up with an amazing opportunity…for someone to style Linda Fargo.
Not only will Linda wear an ensemble inspired by the winning entry to one of the shows, but the winner will get to accompany Linda to that show. Of course you couldn’t wear any old thing…so the kind folks at BG are giving you a $2500 shopping spree so you will look Fashion Week chic. They’ll also gussie you up with hair and makeup, courtesy of the John Barrett Salon and Trish McEvoy.
Contest ends Monday, January 31st, so you’d better hop to it!
In case you’re the lucky winner, here’s a peek into Linda’s survival bag for Fashion Week, so you’ll know what to bring with you.
What’s inside? Click here to find out.
Like many little girls who liked to play dress up, attending Fashion Week last year (Tory Burch and Michael Kors shows), was definitely a dream come true for me.
Have you been to Fashion Week before? Would you go if you could?

Bergdorf Goodman…Unveiled

Most of us are knee deep in turkey, dressing, stuffing, gravy, pie prep and visiting relatives.

Yet, I’m already gearing up for my first holiday trip into New York City on the day after Thanksgiving…to see Mary Poppins with my children!

One of the highlights of the season is seeing the magical windows at each of the city’s finest department stores. Most of them were unveiled this week.

Enjoy watching how the talented artisans, led by David Hoey and Linda Fargo, at Bergdorf Goodman assemble theirs!!

And if you can’t make it to the Big Apple to see this spectacle in person, check out their book, Windows at Bergdorf Goodman, by Assouline which has just beeen released.

Do you like to window shop? I do!
