NYC Hotspot – While We Were Young

cocktail-item-36Girls Night Out just got a lot more dreamy! I’m already planning a GNO of my own to this beautiful little jewel box, When We Were Young, that has opened in the West Village, so let me know if you’re interested! With the prettiest pink banquette and beckoning blue bar, this is the kind of place you may go for a gorgeous cocktail (almost too pretty to drink), but can also stay for a photo-worthy dinner.

Would you believe that a man, Bradford Dunigan, is the creative mind behind this pretty little place?! After spending time in the fashion industry, Bradford has put his heart and soul into launching While We Were Young and has received an enthusiastic reception on Instagram and from the lucky ones who have snagged one of the restaurant’s 40 seats.Screen Shot 2017-03-28 at 8.42.26 PM kitchen-item-77 instagram-04 cocktail-item-16Screen Shot 2017-03-28 at 2.01.13 PMinstagram-05 instagram-02 instagram-03 instagram-06 instagram-07 instagram-08 kitchen-item-19 Screen Shot 2017-03-28 at 2.01.39 PMcocktail-item-44-1If you are looking for an “experince” with friends this Spring in the city, this should be at the top of your list! Can’t you just see Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda meeting there for Sunday brunch?

And, how can you not love a place that gives you gummy bears with your check?!

Holiday Cheer – 4 Great NYC Hotel Bars

screen-shot-2016-12-15-at-10-02-47-pmIf you’re lucky enough to be in NYC during the holidays, you may want to take a break from shopping and shows and have a little holiday cheer. These bars are destinations for their ambiance and atmostphere and are part of the experience.

High on my list is the Baccarat Bar at the Baccarat Hotel (28 W. 53rd St.) near the MOMA. Red, white and elegant….they pour their drinks into Baccarat crystal….obviously!

With murals by Madeline author, Ludwig Bemelman, you are absolutely transported to another time.carl_gallery_hotel_3carl_gallery_dining_5 static1-squarespaceNew to town is The Bar at the Beekman Hotel, located  downtown (123 Nassau St.) and it is STUNNING! Friends who were recently in town thought it was worth the trip.

Get there early if you want a table inside the bar (there are additional tables outside, but that’s just not as fun)!10957_content_king_coleCheers to another holiday weekend! Veterans Day – Dine Out for Heroes

dine-out-for-heroes-logoIt’s time to come together. And, what better cause than our military heros. This Friday, on Veterans Day, consider joining one of the many NYC restaurants, such as Nobu, the Lambs Club, Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, Butter, Beauty & Essex, Chez Josephine, BLT Steak and more that will be contributing money to the Bob Woodruff Foundation.

The foundation invests in programs that benefit our nation’s heros. The mission of the Bob Woodruff Foundation is to create long-lasting positive outcomes for our nation’s wounded, ill and injured veterans, service members and their families.dofhdofh-bannerNew Yorkers and visitors to the Big Apple have big appetites, but even bigger hearts. If you’re eating out on Friday….think about supporting those who make our freedom possible. You can find the entire list of participating restaurants here.
