A Monogram for All Seasons

If you follow me on instagram (@prettypink2lips) you may have already seen the spectacular set of monograms that talented artist and my gracious friend, Patricia van Essche created for me. One for each season! Years ago, Patricia had created a beautiful “tulip” monogram for me, which I’ve loved and used in a number of ways. And, over the years, I’ve watched her create unique and stunning monograms for others.

Recently, I saw a Fall monogram she created for a client and remarked how fun it would be to have one for every season, as I already had one for Spring. The next thing I knew…..this set of Seasonal Monograms arrived in the mail.img_0345 img_0339 img_0342 img_0314I can not wait to use these as gift tags, note cards, stickers, etc…!

To have Patricia (aka PVE Design) create a special monogram for you or as a gift for someone (think ahead to holiday!), you can reach her on her website or in her etsy shop.

Holiday Gift Guide – Personalized Presents

‘Tis the season to start thinking about holiday gifts, if you haven’t already! Personalized gifts are always thoughtful and clearly let the recipient know that it was something ordered just from them, not fresh from the gift closet….but they do need lead time, so get them ordered before Thanksgiving.

Loving this custom illustration by Inslee, that can be personalized with a monogram, name or favorite phrase. Perfect for the “girly-girl” in your life. (Inslee by Design, $100)

preppypapergirlI don’t know about you, but I am a “coffee on the go” kind of gal. I always have to have my hot cup of coffee when I’m driving the boys to school . These monogrammed coffee cups with lids give Starbucks a run for their money…and no debate on what’s on the outside. You decide! I got gold to go throughout the season.  (LB Originals, $56 for set of 50)

I’m starting to see more custom monograms and personal crests, but the original was by Patricia van Essche of PVE Designs. She made mine for me years ago and I still use it on stickers and stationery. If you know someone’s favorite flower or color, this is something they can use in so many ways! (pve, price depends on scope of work).

Initial charms for necklaces have been around for a while, but these are so well priced and I love how the letters are all different shapes and sizes. Makes it fun to combine the letters…by designer, Monica Vinader. (Net-A-Porter, $130)

Lists are always more fun when they’re on a colorful pad of paper…with your name on it! Leave it to the gals at Haute Papier to continue creating fun paper products. (Haute Papier, from $21)Screen Shot 2015-11-17 at 9.25.39 PMFor the family that likes to play together…a double set of playing cards, in a variety of color options. (Mark & Graham, $49)

Hopefully, this gives you a few ideas for the people on your list this year. Make the list and check it twice!

Camo for a Cause

With Veterans Day today, I can’t help but think of “camo”, one of my favorite fashion neutrals.

I was going to do a round up of favorite camo products, but this one particular company that I met at our school book fair, Designs that Donate, will donate 10% of any sales to the charity of your choice. And, how nice would it be to purchase one of these cool camo bags for yourself or as a gift and donate to Wounded Warriors or another charity that supports our military veterans and their families.

They can do a “goyard inspired” stripe in your color choice with a word or initials. After a quick consultation with a stylish friend, I chose the black and white stripe with “EBM”. Screen Shot 2015-11-10 at 8.29.18 PM Screen Shot 2015-11-10 at 8.30.56 PM Screen Shot 2015-11-10 at 8.36.33 PM Screen Shot 2015-11-10 at 9.28.53 PM

Follow Designs That Donate on Instagram (@designsthatdonate) to see their full array of products…and they will always donate to your charity of choice with any purchase, camo not required.

And, above all, let’s remember our military today…their courage, their sacrifices and their families!

Do you “camo”?
