Slushy here, slushy there. Slushy, slushy everywhere!
One thing I learned upon moving from the South to the Northeast is that the winter season is long and just when you think you’re out of it…..the snow turns to mush and it’s an even bigger mess.
The best solution…waterproof boots.
So to my friends in Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas and all places that received a wallop this past month, get yourselves some cute little waterproof boots.
One brand that does them well is Sorel. Just yesterday, Adam Glassman, highlighted Sorel’s Cate the Great boots on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
If I were you….I’d head on over and order yourself some before the entire Oprah television audience gets online.

Personally, I favor the Joan of Arctic and ordered these a few days ago. Let’s just hope they arrive before the next big storm. How do you stay dry?
"Joan of Arctic" – totally great name and totally waterproof..wonderful. Mush!

So wish I had brought my warm boots to Atlanta – it's freezing down here! Have been keeping my toes warm in Sorel's since high school but they were never as stylish as these!
xxoo
I dream of pulling off Cate, but I think I'm with you and will roam with Joan! And I thought Christmas was over… 🙂 XO, Kelly
I wear a pair of boots from L.L.Bean. Have to keep the tootsies warm!
ahhh… coming back to PPT after a long trip, and of course- a post that suits my fancy. 🙂
those cate the great ARE great… especially in brown!!
I've had Sorels for years but not as cute as this new variety. I was lusting after the Joan of Arcs last year – adorable!!
Yes, I am wishing I had a pair of those boots! Vera nice! Not used to the slush…I have been wearing my paddock boots!
Long time lover of Sorel's, my whole family wears them! Stylish and practical do mix, right?
Sorels have come
a long
long way
from when I
was a kid!
I need to check
these out as
I live in the
land of Sorels
and other warm
boots! Usually
it's Uggs for me,
but my allegiance
may be tested now
that I see what
the old-guard is
bringing out : )
Happy Friday, E!

I saw this piece yesterday too. Love them! Of course I need a pair of Cate the Great boots! Have a good weekend and stay warm. xx
Too funny! I just started wearing my new Sorels this month! I went with the black Caribou, but those Joan of Arctic might be calling my name as well…you haven't seen slush till you see what Vermont in March looks like…eeeww and ugh!
I am totally on the hunt for these !! I don't want anything too bulky so I am loving the Cate the Great!

These boots are sooo me! xo
Stay warm and stylish!! My old Sorels needed an update…they were rather plain and I learned the hard way that you can't step into a foot of snow with them.
These taller chicer boots will carry you through winter!
Elizabeth
so neat!
Having trudged through lots of slush in several different states this week, I sure could have used those Joan of Arctics!

The boots and the name are fantastic…and how about that dress color?! That is one stylish way to deal with slush!
Elizabeth– I'm with the you on your Joan of Artic choice! You'll be wishing for slush in the forecast just as an excuse to run out of the house!
Loretta (who's loving her free{!} pair of Vibram-soled Uggs)
I got the Joan of Artics for xmas and I love them! Enjoy. XO
These are so cute. I'm so in to boots this year. They can be sooo comfortable and yet so fashionable. I love that!
