Friday night, I headed into NYC to meet the team behind Matchbook Magazine. They were lighting things up in the West Village, with Cocktails for a Cause at the jewelbox shop of glassybaby.
Co-Founder, Katie Armour, was celebrating her birthday last week….so the celebration continued!
Me and the birthday girl!
Orange, magenta, teal, blue, saffron, green, melon, taupe and red….the colors of glassybaby are infinite. Yet, one of the simplest and prettiest is a pearly white one that they call Hope. A dear friend and reader is in need of some right now….so Hope is on it’s way. I hope when you light it up you will know that you’re not alone.
I had to smile when I walked out the door and saw….yes, pretty pink tulips! Jane & Katie…I just loved meeting you and celebrating your continued creativity and success!
What’s lighting you up this week?

What fun and your favorite candles too! xx
Looks like such a fun event! Love all the little candles.
I am so jealous:) You seem to always go to the good parties. I have sconces on my brain today, lighting me up so to speak. You are just a lovely lady btw!
Oh, I wish I could have been there. We love our glassy babies in Seattle — I have a collection of Hope sitting on my kitchen counter. My friend Valerie does their marketing, and I know they were so happy to host this event for Matchbook! Glad it was such a success.
Looks like a fabulous soiree! Matchbook is a total accomplishment! The first signs of spring are the best. xx
How fun! Love all, what fun touches for a fantastic magazine 🙂
What a fun idea/event! And every one of these images are incredible!!!
Such a fresh and springy event- looked lovely!!!
Those lovely votive cups look at once to be both beautifully transluscent and brightly colorful. I'm in love with the pink … the light pink and the hot pink. Beautiful and happy … would look gorgeous scattered about on an Easter table! And the birthday cake and cupcakes … gorgeous and I'm sure delicious … and stepping outside to see the tulips there … so perfectly you, darling! (you look lovely in your photo!) Have a wonderful week! xoxo
How wonderful! Looks like a great time. I bet that Katie is just as sweet in person as she comes across on her blog! You look beautiful, the red lips suit you! xo

E: I was going to write you and tell you I went into NYC in early March and picked up 15 Glassybaby votives in March – all the earthy colors – they look sensational and I use them all the time. Such a fabulous company that I love supporting. Went with my adorable niece and she is hooked now too! Lesley xx
