Isn’t this a great list of old fashioned summer fun? Camp ends for my youngest son this Friday and my oldest will be home in less than a week. Then, we have a month before school starts.
We’ve done a lot of the things on this list, but I think I’ll print it out as a reminder of all the fun things we can do to make the most of our upcoming lazy days.
What is your best childhood summer memory?

Adorable…..and its funny because its the old fashioned things that I tend to enjoy them most. A simple outing at the beach, going to a local farm stand, firefly chasing, going to the pool, much of what was said above…all great things and a season for even us adults to feel like kids again!
Love this old-fashioned list. Unfortunately, our school starts back next week. Can you believe it?? I don't understand why the South insists on sending our kids back to school in sweltering heat. I'd rather go to school well into June and have August off. Crazy.
Such a cute list. I wonder if I'm too old for flash light tag?! ha ha. I liked when my kids were younger because it gave me an excuse to do all these things. I am trying to "borrow" my girlfriends youngest daughter so I can use her as an excuse to see Winnie the Pooh at the theatre. xoxo
Elizabeth,
I love Summer lists~ Enjoy your boys return and trying to embrace the last bits of summer. It seems when we have lists we accomplish so much more. Have you taken your boys to the Theater in NY, or the Empire State Building or the Circle line. The Cloisters too is so amazing.
We have so much nearby to take advantage of.:)

great list! i'm clinging to the last days of summer before school starts! xx
Love this list! My favorite memories are being at the pool…I had a whole new set of friends over the summer who went to our club…such a refreshing and fun time! Take care, Caroline
What a great list – for kids and "big" kids like me. My favorite summer memories all revolve around the lake cabin my dad built. Long summer days spent swimming, fishing and rowing. Evenings by the campfire. Sleeping outside on the deck. Heaven!
Have so much fun savoring summer with your little guy! XO
So great! Love this.
I LOVE this! xx
Such a darling idea! Love it!
I have seen a lot of summer "to do" lists out there but this one is the best! Love the chalkboard.
My favorite summer memories all seem to revolve going to the beach with Stephanie. We got too much sun, laughed too much and got into to much trouble!
Dear Elizabeth,
Beautiful ideas and such simple concepts…making time for the ones you love and enjoy the simplicity of doing it for "FUN"!
Hope your week has been wonderful!
XO,
Renee and Angela

That's a great summer list. I have done a few of those things thus far this summer. Love your blog , quite lovely. I am now a follower.
Definitely our weeks in the Hamptons – summer in Belgium was not so "hot"!
xxoo
Such a cute list, I need to start making a summer list bc it goes by entirely too quickly.
