Artist I Admire – Bob Tabor

Art gives a room LIFE and personality. Art can also take us on a spiritual journey. Such is the case with the photography of Bob Tabor.

I was introduced to Bob Tabor’s work by my dear friend, Kristine, after she spotted it in East Hampton. She instantly fell in love with Bob’s photography and I must admit I’m smitten, too! 

Bob Tabor’s work is a stunning juxtaposition of renaissance sculpture and modern graphic sensibility. It is romantic, emotionally intense and technically refined. His unique eye captures a magical intimacy with his subjects that connects with the eye of the beholder.

Bob Tabor is a creative director and photographer who made his name with large-scale equestrian portraits and stunning seascape photographs. His horse photographs combine the inner strength, spirit and gentle power of nature’s most beautiful athlete. Also, his exclusive use of natural light and his strong graphic background allow his seascapes to have a voice. 

Early on, Bob was noticed by Ralph Lauren; his work is now on four continents and displayed in retail stores along with his book, Horse Whisperings. Bob’s work is in private collections and galleries around the world and he is available for portrait commissions.

  2. Ahhh, what a thrill. As someone who is learning, slowly learning the art of photography, with Bob Tabor's work I see that some of it is not learned, but truly a gift.

  9. Hi Elizabeth: I thought of you during Easter as I had pretty pink tulips! I thought I would come by and say hello, and I am glad I did. We will have to tweet this one out to our equestrian lovers. Thanks for the introduction, his work is so powerful.
