Did you ever play on a see-saw when you were a child? Bouncing back and forth could be fun, but it was magic when you were suspended right in the middle. And, then your friend would jump off and you’d hit the ground with a THUD. Balance is a tough thing to achieve and it can be uncomfortable when you’re out of balance.
Enter THE BALANCE PROJECT, the brainchild of my dear friend and talented author, Susie Orman Schnall. Curious about how or if other women achieved balance in their own lives, Susie set out to ask them. In a series of revealing and candid interviews, Susie gives us an up-close look at some inspiring and accomplished women and how they are managing to “do it all”! I’m humbled to be among them. Staying in balance can be a huge project if we let it spiral out of control. Like the Olympic ski racer, Julia Mancuso said, she does her best when she "let's go" in order to do her best.
For me, I find that letting go is great advice and then focusing in on a goal and a reward. Having a deadline helps and then having a mentor helps me to keep my faith.
Blogging has helped me to learn, to grow and to connect with other's who live life with passion and strive to bring order and grace to the table.

To have it all… I think that's a matter of perspective. Happiness is contingent upon how we view life and whether or not we learn from mistakes and bounce back .. resilience. Perfection is tough if not impossible to attain and trying too hard to be perfect is taxing. Learning how to prioritize and say no if you need to. Nurturing the spirit when you need to. WOW, you keep company with the best of them! And I love the whole idea of balance. It takes a life time for most of us to learn that, but I think any time is right to get into the practice of balancing things out in your life. I am at that point now, where I need to arrange my life so I can make yet another transition.

I am attending Design Bloggers Conference right now and it is amazing how many of the speakers here tell the same story about switching careers in order to feed their creative spirits. The most amusing part is the concept of the Otome's themselves, which is similar replica handbags enough to the Hime's from My-Hime.
