Special Event on May 20th – Artist Jeanne McKay Hartmann

Get out your calendars and mark down Friday, May 20th! My dear friend and Seattle based artist, Jeanne McKay Hartmann will be making a special 1-day only appearance at Nest Inspired Home in Rye, New York between 1-5pm. Her visit coincides with the Rye Home Tour, so tour the houses in the morning and then stop by before or after lunch to meet her, say hello and see her sought after watercolors!

Jeanne’s mother always carried crayons in her handbag to keep her daughter’s busy hands occupied. Portraits of Queen Elizabeth, the family dog and flowers drawn on restaurant paper placemats were the artist’s first works. Today, she creates commissioned pieces for private clients such as Aerin Lauder and custom paintings for retailers, including her favorite Seattle shop, Watson Kennedy and now on the East Coast at Nest Inspired Home. She is known for happy, vibrant watercolors that capture the beauty of life’s everyday moments and has been touted by both Town & Country and Elle Decor.
For this upcoming event, Jeanne has created a capsule collection, especially for Nest Inspired Home, based upon our conversations about how people live and what they appreciate in our corner of the world.  Below is a glimpse of what will be in store. We are so fortunate that Jeanne loves New York City and Nantucket and is fitting in a trip to Rye between visiting both places!
