It’s not every day that you get to connect with creative women that you admire! This week I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Chelsea Shukov & Jamie Grobecker, founders of LA based, Sugar Paper. Their distinctly stylish and luxe letterpress stationery has been featured by Martha Stewart Weddings, VOGUE, InStyle, Domino, Vanity Fair and Lucky, just to name a few. And, for the past couple of years they have collaborated with Target on a line of holiday wrapping (this year’s will be available on Nov 1st) and desk essentials.
The event, where we were invited to design our own stationery – card stock, envelope, fonts, colors, envelope liners – yes, I was in heaven, was made only better because it was hosted by Darcy Miller at her stunning NYC home. And, as you might expect she had made a “work event” into a celebration! Her custom artwork was on display on the table and on the party favors and the sweets were in the shape of envelopes and pens. It was a perfect example of the type of party she helps you design in her book, Celebrate Everything!
As a perfect finale to a fabulous morning, and, in her welcoming nature, Darcy asked if I might like to see her craft room. Yes, please!! It was chock full of pens and photos and artwork, cake toppers, favor boxes and lots and lots of joy!
I’ll share my finished Sugar Paper stationery when it arrives. I am literally going to be watching my mailbox!
What a perfect day for you!!!!!
Looks like a GREat Event!! I went to the Sugar Paper store at the Brentwood Country MarT when I was out there this summer – they have gorgeous things! I can’t wait to see your stationery! xoxo
