When I was a kid, Halloween consisted of pulling together a costume from things around the house and going trick-or-treating with my friends. Today, the festivities seem to begin on Oct 1st and go throughout the month. Many neighborhoods, mine included, host a parade and party prior to the kids going door to door for candy. So, for those parties at school or in your neighborhood, or if you need to send something to someone who doesn’t live nearby…here is a host of sweet treats that will please every witch, super hero and ghost!
Couture chocolate confections from Maggie Louise Confections are almost too pretty to sink your fangs into.
If you’re looking for cookies that you can send to a ghoul at school or a younger goblin, Whimsy Cookie Company makes them sweet and perfectly decorated. For a double whammy, you can use them as a topper for cupcakes.
For a hands on activity, order the Popcorn Factory’s Popcorn Ball Kit which comes with the popcorn balls and everything you need to dress them up! This will keep the little witches happy before or after Trick-or-Treating!
Now, if anyone knows some tricks for not eating all the candy corn before Halloween is here….please let me know!
