Peonies. Paris. Painting. That is where our story begins.
Earlier this year, my phenomenally talented friend, Jeanne McKay Hartmann, journeyed to Paris to paint….peonies! She found the flower stalls overflowing with these beauties and it inspired a collection of Parisian Peony Paintings! As painting flowers is one of Jeanne’s favorite subjects and she can pop down to Seattle’s Pike Place Market any time her heart desires…she paints them in all seasons. Tulips that brighten a gloomy February. Dahlias that round out the season of field flowers. She tries not to play favorites (cover your ears, peonies) so her collection has a little something for everyone.
While these new works are exciting on their own, what I am thrilled to announce today, is for the first time Jeanne’s work is now available for sale on her website. And, you’re one of the first to know! Up until now, you had to be quick to snag one of Jeanne’s works that she sells for her Giving project via Instagram…with 100% of the profits going to a not-for-profit. But, that only happens once a month and they are gone….FAST!
Another place you can find Jeanne’s work is at Watson Kennedy, the BEST shop in Seattle. Those paintings are specific to WK and take on the point of view of owner and our friend, Ted Kennedy Watson.
But, if flowers are your thing…and if you’re reading PPT, I’m pretty sure they are…swing by today and take a look at these new lyrical watercolors.
Let Jeanne’s work transport you (Paris…yes, please) and enjoy these blooms long after the ones that inspired them have faded away.
