I love having something to look forward to. In my case, it’s my garden blooming, primarily the tulips, and spending languid afternoons outside. But, as anyone who lives in my corner of the world knows…the weather has been less than cooperative. It’s been downright irritating.
So, I’m living off the memories of how things should turn out in a few weeks. This was my backyard in early May of last year. White “Maureen” tulips mingled with petite, pink “Angelique” tulips as the daffodils began to fade.
It also marks the time of year that we can finally bring the the cushions out of storage and enjoy morning coffee al fresco.
So, between you and me….I’ll be a little anxious until I start seeing things begin to bloom!
What are you looking forward to?
Ican’t wait ofr our and our neighbors’ tulips to bloom! The weather in centeal PA has been just like Holland’s so Hope that means they will be especially beautiful! Have a good day.
I love tulips. I love to see them bloom. They just put a smile on my face.
Just by pure chance tulips are what my now husband sent me on a valentine’s Day anonymously.
That’s so sweet, Maureen! Your husband has great taste!!

Just found these gorgeous pictures of your tulips in the past…I can imagine they are getting closer to blooming, and what a welcome sight they will be after the winter we have had. Do you plant new ones every year or do they winter over for you? Angelique is one of my favorites! Look forward to seeing this year’s display!
Hi Karen,
Yes, I replant every year to get the best show possible. This year, as you’ll see in my post tomorrow, things didn’t quite go as expected, but they are still very pretty! Thanks for stopping by!
