I’m back!
Thank you for indulging my desire to unplug from the blog for a few weeks. I realized that for me to continue to be creative, I had to take some time away. I saw family, old friends and spent a lovely few days in one of my favorite places…the Hamptons!
Some of you have been there and understand the allure. Pristine beaches. Phenomenal farm stands. Chic shops. Incredible eateries. The “hamptons” are actually a number of small towns all tied together, yet maintaining their distinctive flavor. For this trip, we stayed at a place new to us and it has gone to the top of my list. The Inn at Windmill Lane, in Amagansett, was incredible.
I loved that the inn had a feeling of privacy. The grounds were visually arresting, as you can see. It almost felt like you were at a friend’s private compound. There is no restaurant, yet there is a common room where snacks are available 24/7 and in the morning, there is an extensive breakfast available. The finish out in the rooms was top notch. And, the staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. I would highly recommend the Inn at Windmill Lane if you are headed “out east”!
I’m already planning on a return trip next summer! Wednesday and Friday I’ll share a couple of other Hamptons favorites!
It’s good to be back!
