Dana’s Bakery – Macarons

Screen Shot 2017-07-13 at 11.48.41 PMHappy Bastille Day!!

I thought for many years that I didn’t like macarons. And, then I went to Paris and discovered I had actually just never had a good macaron. These little morsels (gluten free and kosher) seem to be having their moment in the sun – perhaps taking the place of cupcakes and cakepops.

I was happy to discover that there is an American pastry chef (and former photo editor) in NY, Dana Loia, who has combined American flavor favorites with the French style of dessert. At Dana’s Bakery you can find flavors such as strawberry shortcake, fruity cereal, cookie dough, peanut butter and jelly, red velvet and champagne! Packaged perfectly for gift giving, these make a darling hostess gift of birthday surprise.

They ship nationwide, but also offer daily delivery to NYC! And, there are even macaron making classes this Fall!Screen Shot 2017-07-13 at 11.52.56 PM Screen Shot 2017-07-13 at 11.53.57 PMViva la France…the American way!

Good things come in small packages! And, here’s my new favorite small package…Greetabl!

Created for those occassions when a card isn’t quite enough and you don’t need to spend upwards of $50 on flowers, Greetabl helps you curate a customized little box of joy.

How does it work? You choose a box from a bevy of options, select a gift to include, write a short note and then have the option of including 3 photos from your computer or Instagram and bam….your gift is off to your loved one.

I love you, Good Luck, I miss you, Thank you, Happy Birthday, Congratulations, You did it, I’m here for you, I can’t wait, See you soon or for no reason at all….they’ve got you covered.Screen Shot 2017-01-24 at 7.36.10 PMFrom a base price of $9 (box, photos and message), you can choose a little treat from as little as $3 up to $20, so all in, you’ll spend between $12 to $29. There are so many adorable options, you’ll wish you could include more than one thing.Screen Shot 2017-01-24 at 7.28.02 PMScreen Shot 2017-01-24 at 9.46.09 PM Screen Shot 2017-01-24 at 7.28.25 PM Screen Shot 2017-01-24 at 9.48.17 PM Screen Shot 2017-01-24 at 7.28.35 PMScreen Shot 2017-01-24 at 9.48.56 PM Screen Shot 2017-01-24 at 7.28.45 PM Screen Shot 2017-01-24 at 7.29.36 PMSometimes the smallest things can have the biggest impact? A Little Something Sweet

Shop-rose4_1024x1024Life just got sweeter. It all began with some champagne gummy bears. Sounds innocent enough. But, these were no ordinary bears.

I’m usually more of a dark chocolate fan, but I was completely won over by this darling box of gourmet gummy bears, with a unique “pop of champagne” taste.

Then…..I came across Yes Way, Rosé, light pink rosettes infused with Whispering Angel rosé and Rosé All Day bears, rosé infused gummy bears.

Seriously? Who is coming up with these fun, gourmet candies? Superfina, is who. Believing that kids shouldn’t be the ones to have ALL the fun, they have sourced the best artisinal candies around the globe.Screen Shot 2016-08-16 at 9.50.26 PMScreen Shot 2016-08-16 at 9.51.48 PMIf gummies aren’t your thing, there are a myriad of other sweet things. Here are just some of my faves, including the new, limited edition collaboration with Draper James, which contains 3 of Reese Witherspoon’s personal favorites: Peach Bellini Gummies, Maple Bourbon Caramels and Sugarfina Pearls. Isn’t that sweet?!
