Fab Fall Finds

Have you started panicking thinking about a photo for your holiday card yet? Well, this is the time of year to get a really great shot and my talented friend, Bentley Waters, can make it so easy, if you live near NYC or will be visiting this month.

She’s holding her mini shoots (think 1/2 an hour) on October 18th.  Central Park will be the site for the morning (9am -12pm) and Tribeca will be the site for the afternoon (1-3pm). Each shoot receives 20 images in an online gallery and an 8×10 enlargement.

Bentley is so relaxed and knows how to get her subjects to do the same. Mom to 2 little boys, she knows kids and will bring out the best in yours. Make a day of it and cross this item off your to-do list!

For those of you who love calligraphy as much as I do…Heather of Design Roots has created her own line of custom ink colors. Love what she created for Fall.

She’s also a great source for custom calligraphy for parties, prints and stamps. (Get your holiday shopping started now!) Here are just a few samples.
Design yourself a perfect weekend!

Rockin’ Another Birthday

At our house, September is a busy month. Including the celebration of a special little boy’s birthday! Once I figure out a theme, I immediately reach out to my friend, Alexis, who always creates the perfect invitation and gift tag.

This birthday is all about little boys climbing the walls.

If you’re looking for ideas for a kid’s birthday party, here are a few others I’ve done.

Life’s a party….make it fun!

Home for the Holidays

Will you be home for the holidays?! “Home for the Holidays” is the theme my friends and I selected for our big holiday garden club event that is happening today!

Many months in the planning, a few stressful moments, a lot of hard work and a few random bursts of creativity…the day is finally here.

Our garden club creates gorgeous arrangements…think amaryllis, orchids, terrariums, wreaths and fresh flower arrangements for sale. The proceeds enable us to give back to our local community in ways that beautify, educate and inspire.

Above is the front of our invitation, created by my friend, Alexis…I just love the little ribbons tied around the holiday topiary. We repeated that element in the response cards.

I apologize for my lack of visits to all of my blogger friends…but I promise, I’ll be back with renewed energy and time once this event is done.

Always remember….home and the holidays are wherever the heart is!
