Drenched in Daffodils

DSC_0264The sun has finally come out to play! We are warming up and the daffodils have bloomed just in time for Easter. Yellow is everywhere between the daffodils, which are mainly in our back yard and in the front pots, and the forsythia. You can see the tulips starting to come up, but they won’t bloom for another 2 to 3 weeks. No complaints here, though….Spring has finally sprung!DSC_0275DSC_0267 DSC_0268DSC_0278 DSC_0271 DSC_0273 DSC_0277 DSC_0279Hoping it’s sunny and bright for you this weekend and happy Easter to those who celebrate!

Hello, Sunshine

Yesterday, I took a bike ride with my son.

I made him stop when we got to this saturated stretch of daffodils. It’s amazing what a little pop of yellow can do to an otherwise bleak landscape. It brings it to life. Makes you stop and smile and take it all in.

And,  it got me thinking about how a little pop of yellow can brighten our interiors as well. Sometimes in unexpected places. Which, of course, is what makes you stop and smile and take it all in.

Here’s to finding a little sunshine in unexpected places…and I hope it makes you stop, smile and take it all in!

Juicy Colors

April is drawing to a close….yet it’s still freezing here. But, the one thing that keeps me going is the changing landscape of colors. Yellow forsythia. Pink cherry blossoms and budding greens. I noticed that when I’m out driving about, seeing this mix of colors makes me smile and realize that this is such a special season. (Even if a sweater is still required).

Then, I noticed….those were the very colors on my desk.

I wonder if that’s my inner life imitating my outer life. Or, maybe just colors I really like together!!!

What colors are surrounding you?
