Have A Heart

Have a heart. A conversation heart. My tastebuds lean to the salty versus the sweet, but I have to admit these are pretty cute little candies. And, their color makes them perfect for a little table decoration.

I’ve been playing around this week with various ideas for my Valentine’s Day table. But, I think ultimately, I’ll do a red table for all my guys.

This little vignette was inspired by the Emma Bridgewater Hearts Pattern. Thinking it was fun for Valentine’s Day inspiration, I posted it to Instagram!
Imagine my surprise and delight when my friend, Jeanne, posted an illustrated version on her Instagram @idreamofjeanne. She takes custom orders, so if you would like to see her work and order something that makes your heart go pitter-patter, definitely check out her blog I Dream Of!
Speaking of art…it’s time to announce who the lucky winner is of the Drippy Heart by Kerri Rosenthal

Congratulations to #35!!!! I’ll connect you and Kerri! I think it’s a perfect match.
“I love art from Westport today and everyday. Westport artists have a special place in my heart because I grew up in Westport with a mom who was an artist. My first memories are napping on the floor at my mom’s studio and playing at Compo Beach while my mom painted. She died when I was 16 and is buried in Westport. When I first saw Kerri’s art on your Instagram, I didn’t know she was from Westport but could see her joy and bright spirit in her work and wanted that in my home. When I learned she was from Westport MY heart leaped.
I now live in Seattle. If we had one of Kerri’s hearts in our home, it would be a reminder of my mom’s deep love for art and a reminder that art and joy live on. Happy Valentine’s Day to you Elizabeth! xoxo valerie”

Happy Valentine’s, from my heart to yours!
