Happy New Year – 2nd Annual Parade of Tulips

img_8177Happy New Year! I hope your 2017 is off to a great start!!

It’s always fun to look back over the past year to see what you tried, accomplished, where you traveled, who you saw and milestones that were celebrated. But, today I’d like to look back at 2016 via the tulips that caught my eye along my travels or that I brought home to enjoy. As with last year, today’s post coincides with the Parade of Roses, so I’m doing my own Parade…of Tulips. Unless otherwise noted, the tulips are pictured at my home.img_8251 img_8258 img_8317Highland Park Village, Dallas, TXimg_8369The Lovliest, Dallas, TXimg_8377Blueprint, Dallas, TXimg_8412 img_8515 img_8737 dsc_0251Bunny Williams’ Trade Secrets, Sharon, CTimg_0029Hudson Grace, Brentwood Country Mart, Los Angelos, CAimg_9096artwork by Jeanne McKay Hartmann at Nest Inspired Home, Rye, NYimg_9597Look back on your 2016 to decide what you want more of in 2017! I’ll definitely be looking for more tulips and more travels. And, remember no matter where you are….bloom where you are planted!

May this be your best year yet!

Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Friday! This week, as most, flew by! From Trade Secrets to Kips Bay to some meetings and school concerts…it’s been FULL! But, isn’t that what’s life’s all about?!? I’ve had some people near and dear to me that have suffered some losses lately, so it serves as a reminder to make time for the things and the people that you love. I may be a little bit tired….but I’ve had so much fun. I’ll sleep on Sunday!

One of the week’s highlights is a visit from my darling friend, Jeanne McKay Hartmann, all the way from Seattle. She’s here in Rye for the day and will be sharing some of her framed work, as well as painting and personalizing pink and blue versions of the tote you see above. We’ll be at Nest Inspired Home today from 1-5pm and I’d love to see you. Come say hello, meet Jeanne and have her customize a little piece for you. Maybe give it as a gift to someone you hold dear.unnamed-10 unnamed unnamed-11

Love her work, but want something custom? She can do it…but she has just a few spots open. So, call Nest Inspired Home (914-921-6378) to reserve one the spots.

Enjoy the weekend!!!
