Just a quick little post today, as I’ve been a little preoccupied with wrapping, more wrapping, decorating and embellishing (as my mother likes to say). As we head into the Christmas week and 2 weeks filled with festivities, I want to wish you much merriment and very little stress. We all have it. Too much to do and time running out. But, I’m trying to “pause” and enjoy things. I didn’t drag out every decoration I own this year and yet the house feels dressed and ready.
From the Reed & Barton silver holly bells hanging from the dining room chandelier to the reindeer that I seem to gravitate toward. Holly and greenery are tucked here and there. The tree is as done. And, most of the presents are bought (and wrapped). And, that’s ok. I used to get sick every December, with great predictability. But, the last couple of years, I haven’t. Knock wood. I think it’s because I’m slowing things down. It doesn’t have to be perfect…it just has to be done enough to make you happy. Make sure that after you’ve taken care of everyone else, you take care of yourself! That is the best gift of all!
Merry Christmas!!
