The Pretty Pink Tulips

DSC_0329I literally wait all year for this.

The two to three weeks that my pink tulips are in bloom! As with most of the past 8 years, they bloom just in time for Mother’s Day. I sneaked in a few shots of the pink tulips that are in the backyard (first year for those), but overall this is the front and side of our home. I noticed that the tulips appear lighter or darker in some photos…this is just based on the light and time of day I took the photo.

The tulips in the front are called Menton. The smaller ones in the back are called Angelique. Enjoy….the pretty pink tulips!DSC_0332 DSC_0338 DSC_0363 DSC_0365 DSC_0371IMG_2441DSC_0367 IMG_2462 DSC_0370 DSC_0346IMG_2443We plant over a 1000 bulbs each year. If you are considering tulips for your garden, I encourage you to plant more than you think and to plant them in clusters, not in a row.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the women who are nuturing the coming generations, in the weeds of parenting or enjoying an empty nest and the fruits of their efforts! These flowers are for you!
